Car rental in Morocco: how to choose the right car
A car delivered where you arrive
Renting a car in Morocco is the best way to discover the country at your own pace: the medinas of the imperial cities, the passes of the Atlas, the kasbahs of the south and the Atlantic beaches. Marocar hands you the keys as you leave the airport, at the train station or outside your hotel, in Marrakech, Casablanca, Agadir, Fez, Rabat and Tangier. You can also return the car in a different city.
Which car should you rent for your trip?
- In town and on the motorway: an economy car such as the Dacia Logan or the Renault Clio 5, fuel-efficient and easy to park.
- For long journeys: a more comfortable and more powerful compact car, with a manual or automatic gearbox.
- Atlas, desert and family trips: an SUV such as the Dacia Duster or the Hyundai Tucson, higher off the ground and roomier.
- Business trip or special stay: our premium cars, available with a chauffeur.
Clear prices, no surprises on arrival
Every car shows its price per day, and the total cost of your rental is calculated before you send your request. Mileage is unlimited, assistance is available 7 days a week, and the rate drops automatically from 7 days' rental. No payment is required online: you pay when the keys are handed over.
Driving in Morocco: what you need to know
A valid foreign driving licence is enough for a tourist stay. The motorway network links Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir and Fez; elsewhere, the national roads call for more caution, especially in the mountains and at night. Keep some change for tolls and parking attendants, and read our rental terms and our FAQ before you set off.
